Context

A major player in the distribution of products for construction, finishing trades, and industry, Legallais places market listening and customer satisfaction at the heart of its strategy. Within the marketing department, the "Voice of the Customer" mission encompasses review management, internal and external surveys, and tracking major market trends.

Before adopting Sindup, market intelligence at Legallais was handled in a very artisanal way. The activity relied on manually reading various publications, selecting articles from a limited range of sources, and occasional distribution by email via Gmail. This approach suffered from several major constraints : very significant processing time, difficulty systematizing collection, and a total absence of metrics to measure actual interest in or readership of the content shared internally.

The Challenge: Automating collection and professionalizing distribution

To meet the growing needs of operational teams and management, the main objective was to build a structured, responsive, and directly actionable market intelligence system. This meant moving from a time-consuming manual approach to an automated process capable of feeding insights across several key areas:

  • The construction sector and its market developments
  • CSR, a central topic rich in news and regulatory issues
  • Direct competition and tracking of manufacturer activity
  • Brand communication and awareness

Setup : a tighter format and targeted dashboards

The system deployed relies on a highly editorialized approach, prioritizing the quality of information over quantity.

enveloppe avec un @At the heart of the project is a monthly internal newsletter, designed for quick, concise reading. To maximize impact among employees, the format was deliberately limited to around a dozen carefully selected articles, organized into a maximum of four thematic sections. This tightly curated selection helps maintain a clear editorial line and avoid information overload. Thanks to automated collection through Sindup, the distribution frequency was doubled, moving from bimonthly to monthly, without increasing the workload.

In addition to the company-wide newsletter, the system was extended to other departments within marketing. Dedicated thematic dashboards were set up, notably to track news on manufacturers and competing products. The platform also offers the flexibility needed to quickly create ad hoc folders or temporary analysis spaces whenever a new topic emerges.

The results : strong engagement and productivity gains

After one year of deployment, the system led by the marketing research officer shows very positive results.

  • In terms of engagement, the monthly newsletter boasts an open rate of over 80%, reflecting the strong perceived value of the content and its successful integration into employees' daily habits.
  • Operationally, automating the collection and layout process has generated considerable time savings. Access to detailed readership statistics allows for ongoing analysis of the most-read topics and fine-tuning of editorial curation over time.

"Implementing Sindup allowed us to professionalize our approach to market intelligence and speed up our internal distribution cycle, while reducing the time spent on collection. Our tightly curated monthly newsletter format has proven very successful, with an open rate of over 80% confirming how relevant the system is to our teams."

Outlook

Looking ahead, Legallais wants to continue evolving its system. Priorities include reducing information noise on the densest topics by progressively adopting the platform's built-in AI features, such as automatic summary generation and tag extraction. An analysis of usage statistics for the business dashboards is also planned, to continue tailoring formats to the needs of different internal departments.
