Founded in 2021 following the merger of four entities, Innoval is a major player in the French livestock industry. With 30,000 members, Innoval supports farmers through a comprehensive range of services, from genetics to agro-environmental solutions and digital tools. The company has 2,000 employees and operates across 26 departments through 80 agencies, primarily in Western France. In numbers, Innoval performs 1.1 million first inseminations with 800 inseminators and conducts 2.2 million milk analyses annually.

Hugo Eouzan, a market analyst within the group, is responsible for providing market data to the organization, particularly through competitive intelligence.

In the post-merger context, Innoval needed to unify the intelligence practices of its various entities. The primary objective was to ensure the company’s agility while maintaining service quality and adhering to regulatory standards. Innoval sought an intelligence solution capable of informing strategic decision-making, identifying competitive risks, and better anticipating changes in the livestock market, which is undergoing significant restructuring.

Innoval chose the Sindup platform, which stood out for its ability to centralize data collection and dissemination within a single interface, as well as its personalized support throughout the project.

Implementation of the intelligence project

In 2021, Innoval initiated a structured intelligence project, starting with an internal mapping of its intelligence practices and a benchmark of available solutions. After thorough analysis, the Sindup platform was selected for its ability to centralize information collection and dissemination. A one-year pilot phase was launched to train teams and define the editorial line. This phase enabled Innoval to test and refine its needs while ensuring skill development in using the tool.

Results achieved

From 2023 onward, Innoval entered a phase of disseminating intelligence results. The main deliverables produced include :

Market intelligence

A bi-weekly newsletter sent to managers, providing a comprehensive overview of industry news.

Competitive intelligence

A weekly report on market conditions and competitors' activities, distributed to around 100 field and operational staff members.

Media monitoring

A weekly update for the management team, tracking media mentions to identify where and how Innoval is being referenced

Technological and scientific intelligence

Managed by the R&D department, this intelligence focuses on capturing emerging trends, innovations, and patents in the livestock sector.

The project resulted in better anticipation of market developments and a harmonization of practices, with positive feedback from users. One of the major successes of the project is the market intelligence newsletter, managed by Hugo Eouzan, who curates and enriches the information sent to 186 recipients. This newsletter has become a strategic tool for guiding managers’ activities, receiving highly positive feedback from users who emphasize its importance for positioning Innoval’s offers and products.

Future development perspectives

The next step for Innoval is to move from passive consumption to active use of intelligence data, particularly in competitive intelligence.

Innoval plans to integrate this information into an internal portal, which will compile competitor profiles, strategic analyses, and real-time information. The goal is to transform the intelligence into decision-making tools to optimize Innoval’s brand positioning, identify market opportunities, and improve internal communication regarding the company’s perception.
