Through a survey conducted with 87 participants from sectors including consulting, higher education and research, public administration, industry, and tech, Sindup.AI looked to identify the relationship organizations have with artificial intelligence.
Among the respondents, 61% use a market intelligence platform (Sindup or other), 21% use free tools, and 18% conduct market intelligence manually. The survey focused on exploring the following six points :
- Relationship with AI
- How can we use generative AI ?
-
Respondents' wishes and needs
-
Respondents' level of information about AI
- The budget allocated to AI
- Desired functionalities
The key findings reveal that CI and MI professionals show significant interest in generative AI for market intelligence tasks. Indeed, 68% of respondents use generative AI for such activities. Adoption is more prominent among consultants (83%) and market intelligence professionals (75%), but remains limited among documentalists (43%). For the majority of respondents, generative AI is used via widely available online tools like ChatGPT (65%). The use of Copilot is another fairly common alternative for querying generative AI (40%), especially in larger or mid-sized organizations (81%). Regarding investment, larger organizations appear more cautious about this technology, with only 25% of respondents working in such organizations indicating that their organization has invested or plans to invest in AI-driven innovation.
